This is kewl.... Some of that Appalachian folky shit is rubbing off on lil' Billy – then a return to form.... Breaks are tight and Crystal’s vocals are very kewl. Dude…! Your gtr playing has never been better. Very Kewl……… I like this.....
My only suggestion is to remix this at a hotter level. +3 to +5db.

OK, on second listen 5db is a little excessive, but give it 3db. LOL
Great Tune

Soulful and atmospheric. I like the delivery on the vocals, nice work with the powerful guitar. The change to the quieter part worked perfectly as it led into that fantastic electric guitar solo

Hell yeah....I really love that pulsating rhythm and wow...that acoustic Kentucky-West Virginia backwoods guitar riff is just too freaking cool.
Crystal....your vocals float on top of this like an evil witch hovering over her dominion....very very nice
The guitars at the break around the 3 minute mark are great as is the solo that follows.
A fantastic addition to the Wormscrew repertoire. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

Listened to this the other day Didn't comment at the time cause I was soooooo I really fucking love the transitions though from hard to soft playing And the melody in the harder part is incredible for the song I could see this track being like a last song on an album Very unique sound
This song is so dark and epic, me loves it

Listened to this a couple times whilst not logged in here lol.. the music in this is just incredible. the softer melodies are sweet and mysterious, and the harder parts are just epic. my favourite part being right around 3:40. those guitar tracks just keep flowing in, creating more and more depth. very well composed. And Crystal, I can hear you exploring new ground with your vox, while simultaneously establishing your own identifiable "Wormscrew" sound. Very cool I would agree with Gene though, this one could be mixed a bit hotter. comes in pretty quiet compared to the rest of the music I've got queued up. another technical note, if you do feel like revisiting the mix at all, I'd maybe boost some higher frequencies in those harder parts, or maybe widen the stereo field.. those bits don't seem as "bright" as the rest of the song. just a minor observation for you there. Still, all in all a very solid outing from one of DM's best bands!

The guitar in the intro reminds me a lot of Travis Meek’s work on Days of the New’s second album and more than a little of Lenny Kaye on the Patti Smith Group’s post-comeback albums. The vocals might have steered me toward the latter somewhat, but it definitely has that slightly sinister, canter country/Appalachian vibe.
(Much has been made of the well-deserved reputation hill folk have for kindness and hospitality, but if they think you’ve wronged them somehow...well, have you ever seen “Deliverance”?)
Deliciously nightmarish on all counts.
